About Xiaoyumi Academy

Last updated: 2026-06-02

If you're new to crypto and your head is spinning over "which exchanges should I open", "what's an invite code" and "why are there so many kinds of fees" — this site was made for you. What we want to do is simple: take the few steps beginners genuinely get stuck on and explain them in plain words, so you waste less time and pay less than you have to.

Who we are

Xiaoyumi Academy is an independently run content site, kept up by a small editorial team (we sign our work as the "Xiaoyumi editorial team"; "Ami" — the name at the foot of our articles — is the pen name of the editor who does most of the writing here). We are not an exchange, we're not part of any institution, and we hold no license to give you investment advice. What we can offer is the kind of clear, beginner-friendly material put together by people who have already stepped in the potholes.

How we keep the lights on

Honestly: when you sign up and trade at an exchange through our links, we may earn a commission, and you get a fee discount in return. We recommend five exchanges in total — Binance, OKX, Bitget, Bybit and Gate.io — each with our own invite code. This is currently the site's only source of income. We don't charge you, and we don't sell courses, run signal calls or herd people into groups.

There's an obvious temptation built into this model: the more people sign up, the more we earn. So we drew a line for ourselves: how we write has nothing to do with which exchange pays the highest commission. When we say what each one is good for and where each one has a catch, we decide it on whether it's useful to a beginner. Whether we hold that line is something you'll be able to judge after reading enough. The full business disclosure is in our referral disclosure.

What we won't do

  • We won't predict prices, call trades, or promise any return figure;
  • We won't pose as any exchange's official channel, or push lines like "the latest official site" or "let us unfreeze it for you";
  • We won't make up data. The tests and numbers in our articles are either ours to run or clearly sourced; if we get something wrong, we fix it openly in the corrections log.

One reminder

Crypto prices are extremely volatile and you can absolutely lose all of your capital. Everything on this site is for educational reference only and is not investment advice. Whether to take part, and how much, is for you to judge — and to confirm it's legal where you live. See the disclaimer.
